Philip Cilliers is admitted as an attorney, notary, and conveyancer. He specialises in providing expert legal counsel and representation in all matters related to estates, with a deep understanding of the intricacies of estate law and a commitment to a personalised service. He is dedicated to helping clients navigate the complexities of estate planning and administration with confidence giving the clients peace of mind.
Philip obtained his B.Com(law) and LLB degrees from the University of Pretoria, where he also later completed his Master’s Degree in Trusts and Estate Law.
In addition to the above, Philip has authored the 2023 and 2025 editions of Meyerowitz on Administration of Estates and their Taxation which is considered by many as the most acclaimed handbook on the administration of deceased estates and the taxes relating thereto. Philip is also involved at the University of Pretoria with lecturing on estate administration and estate duty. Philip also lectures Wills and Estates Practical Vocational Training for candidate attorneys with the GLR Institute of Law.
